How does it work? Forward ITC provide all the software and materials needed to use the backup service, included in the contract price. There are no hidden charges. On our first visit to you, we will assess your storage requirements, and supply advice on a data security policy, which will not only be of benefit to your business, but help to keep your storage charges under control. A Data Security check will be performed prior to installation, not only to help better protect your systems, but also our other clients.
Why do I need to store my data securely? Legislation such as the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Serbanes Oxley Act 2004, insist on suitable and robust storage solutions, both making legitimate access easy, and unwelcome access as difficult as possible. All auditable data now has to be stored for 7 years, and new european legislation regarding Objective One beneficiaries may require records to be kept for 25 years. The costs to individual businesses is mainly prohibitive making Forward ITC a cost effective answer.
How much does it cost? Our Data backup solutions can cost as little as 5p per Gigabyte per day, but varies dependant on the type of package selected, the amount of data being stored, and other bespoke requirements.
What if I lose my data? Having stored your data with us, you can be assured that it is rapidly available. Unlike "internet only" storage providers, who rely on your ability to download, we can get a copy to you by courier if necessary. Often within four hours of receiving your report. It is difficult to access the internet if you have suffered a fire, and your systems are a char-coaled lump. Can anyone else access my data? No. We employ secure policies, and professionally configured systems to ensure that Your Data Is Your Business .

How long does the process take? Initial checks and first on-site backup should take no more than half a day. Then at every pre-determined time of your choice, an incremental copy of changed files is uploaded securely to us. As an added precaution, deleted files are retained by us, so that they may be recovered by you should you need them.
How do I know how much data is stored? This information will be supplied by email each month but will be available to you at any time upon request.
Upgrade information? We will call you prior to any required increase of storage tariff. It may be that you require some files to be deleted, or that your storage needs have increased. In either event, we will work with you to find the most appropriate solution for your needs. We never stop your upload in the event of exceeding your storage contract without contacting you and discussing the options.
Will it work with my existing security measures? Yes. Your firewall may need to be configured, but this can be done during the setup process.
